Vincent Van Gogh was born in the Netherlands on the 30th march in 1835. As a young child Vincent loved to draw and was very passionate about it. he did not start painting until his late twenties completing many of his best work in the last two years of his life. In just more than a decade he produced 2100 paintings consisting of 860 oil paintings and 1300 water colours, sketches, drawings and prints. His work included self-portraits, landscapes, still life,portraits and paintings of cypress, wheat fields and sunflowers.
